Founded in 1994, Cavesson has since offered consulting, coaching, training, experiential workshops and professional continuing education to people from four continents. Cavesson advocates that Social Emotional Intelligence can be best enhanced through sharing research-based information and guided experience-based personal discovery. Horses are our brilliant co-facilitators.

With our extensive professional backgrounds in biosciences, alternative education, international corporate world, and the equestrian field, Cavesson's speciality Equine Assisted Social Emotional Learning (EASEL) offers yet another unique extention to the existing global spectrum of equine assisted personal and team competence development.

LeadRope™ - coaching and experiential workshops are for people who have realized that there are all sorts of forces playing in all social interactions, and want to learn to work with them better :  emotions as information, Self and boundaries, social dynamics and leading others, getting "in sync", stress management etc.. We also run specialist workshops and professional continuing education programs on EASEL - method and HorseTalk™ - pedagogy.

Lauri Lehtiö is founder of Cavesson and current Managing director, M.Sc. (engineering and industrial economics), Certified Supervisor and Coach of Leaders and Executives®- Examination (2,5-year training by SUED Management Oy). Lauri has 20 years of experience in consulting, and management positions in several international corporations like Outokumpu, Nokia and IBM,in Finland, Europe and Asia. His latest position was managing director of InfoCare Finland. As of 1st March 2008 Lauri has returned to Cavesson and offers to clients his extensive experience in leading people and business units in Finland, Europe and China through transitions and other challenging phases of development.

Mari Louhi-Lehtiö holds M.Sc. and is licensed teacher, certified Work Counselor / Supervisor and Coach specialized in group processes (2,5-year-university training), int. certified riding instructor, Epona Approved Instructor, EAGALA Level 1. Mari's career started in biosciences and research, and continued specializing in how we and other mammals learn, become social and (hopefully) balance mind, body and soul. She has 20 years of experience in various fields of education, coaching, training and work counseling. Mari's speciality is facilitating animal assisted experiential activities to support consensual leadership, personal development, team building, social emotional learning, better conflict resolution and wiser choice making skills.

Mari's specialities in coaching are
young employees juggling with career and family preventing / fixing interpersonal conflicts and personal crisis at work understanding and beating stress releasing creativity while getting the work done training professionals in AASEL™ (Animal Assisted Social Emotional Learning), EASEL™ (Equine Assisted SEL) and SELCoach™ certification Emotional Intelligence Assessments based on Simmons EQ Profile and Extended Disc Personality Assesments (360 etc.)

Mari's work on advocating equine assisted social emotional learning, ethical horsemanship and pedagogic approach to teaching riding (HorseTalk™ -
pedagogy) has been well received, leading to clients from around the world, continuing education programs and coaching, as well as consulting organizations. She lectures yearly about EASEL and Ethical Horsemanship e.g. in Östersund University, Sweden, to Swedish students. Mari was an invited consult to EFMHA's ethics committee and has since been a member of its standards committee.

Virpi Liirus-Mäkelä has her original degree in social and health care, practical nursing and has had a long career working for the Finnish Christian Church as a diaconess and spiritual counselor. She is certified Work Counselor / Supervisor (2,5-year-university training). She is specializing in personal strength and solution focused counseling. In her work, Virpi utilizes also methods originating from Narrative Therapy. Virpi has studied Applied Drama Tools for Social Work and did her practicum with elementary school children. She has behind her close to 20 years of continuous professional studies and working experience in helping individuals and groups of all ages discover ways to resolve personal conflict, be it spiritual or social in nature, and overcome limiting patterns of thought and behavior. In addition to facilitating workshops and group work counseling with Mari, Virpi works with Mari in MysterySchool® - family counseling programs.

The staff also includes a Stable Manager, youth leader with a degree in adventure pedagogy, and four other professionals in corporate coaching or mental health work with us in various programs when needed.

Cavesson on vuodesta 1994 tarjonnut koulutusta, konsultointia ja kursseja asiakkaille neljältä mantereelta. Erityisosaamistamme on hevosten avulla tapahtuva sosiaalisen ja tunneälyn hienosäätö (EASEL) esimies-, ohjaus- ja terapiatyötä tekeville oman alansa ammattilaisille. Lisäksi tarjoamme työnohjausta, yritysvalmennusta, stressinhallintaan keinoja antavia TYKY-päiviä sekä kansainvälisen tason EAL/EAT - menetelmäkoulutusta.
